My latest current coffee concoction isn't mine at all. Thanks to the author of the Coffeehouse Mystery, Cleo Coyle (pen name for Alice Alfonsi), we can now all enjoy a Starbucks frappe without paying $5 each time! I've made this myself and can tell you it is fabulous! Below is the recipe for Cleo's Copycat Frappuccino a.k.a. Chilly Cleoccino. Serves: This recipe will make one 8-ounce serving.
For a larger drink, or to serve more people, you can easily double,
triple, or quadruple it.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup coffee (makes about 4 coffee ice cubes)
1/3 cup milk (low fat is fine)
2 teaspoons sugar (more if you like sweeter drinks)
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
whipped cream (optional)
whipped cream (optional)
You can create an icy drink with very small ice chips (like a frozen margarita) or you can run the blender full speed until the mixture is completely liquefied yet still cold and frothy. The drink is delicious either way and a great use of your leftover Joe. To finish, pour this frozen refresher into a glass mug, top with whipped cream, and…
Drink with joy!
